In 2017 we’ve seen the end of Microsoft Paint, experienced the biggest NHS cyber-attack in history, and learnt that there are currently around 3.7 billion email users globally.

As the year draws to an end, we wanted to reflect on the year we’ve had and would like to bring your attention to some of our achievements and events which have been the highlights of our year.

Lincolnshire Leadership Forum event:

On the 22nd February, we co-hosted the Lincolnshire Leadership Forum event and spoke to East Midland businesses on the power and perils of data.

Apart from ourselves, the event was also hosted by other industry professionals, including Natwest, Fill the Gap Marketing, Spiral Media and The Trust Insurance Group.

We had some great feedback from the event, and found that only 10% of the businesses present were actually protected by cyber insurance and that many were still unsure about the GDPR, coming into effect in 2018.

Customer feedback survey:

In March this year, we decided to conduct a customer feedback survey in order to see how happy our customers were with our services.

We were delighted to find that 100% of our customers rated us either good or great for our technical expertise and would recommend our IT services to a friend of colleague.

The majority of our customers also rated us highly for both our customer service and our friendly staff, both of which we pride ourselves in.

This not only boosted morale within our team, but it told us that our customers are happy with our level of support, so much so that they even took the time to send us their feedback.

Disaster Recovery event:

On the 29th June, we held our Disaster Recovery event in conjunction with BlueCube Telecommunications, where more than 40 businesses attended to learn about the importance of business continuity.

Within the event, we shared our expert advice on how to prepare and effectively recover from a disaster.

Attendees of the event learnt, amongst other things, that the top 3 threats to UK businesses are cyber-attacks, data breaches and unplanned IT and telecom outages, and that call hacking costs the UK £1.2 billion every year, which rises 15% year on year.

We gained great feedback from the event, with attendees stating that the content was informative and interesting.

As you can see, we’ve had a great year and we cannot wait to see what the New Year brings.

We’d like to thank everyone for your support throughout 2017, and we wish you all the best for 2018.
